Sri Lanka is proudly celebrating the 65th Independence Day today. On the 4th of February, 1948 we achieved the independence and we raised as the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka as one nation. Today is the day we tribute to the armed forces that played a major role in the country’s freedom struggle. Mother Sri Lanka is ready to celebrate our national day through flag-hoisting ceremony, dances, parades and performances. For the first time in the history Google Team also has sent the warm Greetings to all the Sri Lankans by posting a special Google doodle on Sri Lanka’s Google home page.
